Just in case you didn't notice at the time. . .

PBS: Gun Owners of America Exposed Sen Manchin’s Gun Control Plans
Pratt saw Manchin as an opportunist who was stepping in while the hearts of the American people were aching, offering them salve that wouldn’t heal, but which would take away even more of their liberty. Consequently, the GOA began pushing other gun rights groups–notably the NRA–by asking GOA members to call the NRA and “urge [them] to oppose [Manchin’s] bill.” When all was said and done, GOA, the NRA, and other gun rights groups stood shoulder to shoulder against Manchin’s gun control bill and defeated it.

GOA is the only gun rights group that gets my hard earned money every year. I encourage other threepers to do the same. If ten million gun owners would just send them twenty five bucks, they could turn up the heat on the gun grabbers like Bloomberg.

I sent my dues the other day. Doubled my last contribution. I hope everyone can do the same.

I want to support GOA. I hope they break the mold - as they certainly look like they are cracking it now.

But personally, I am done giving money and time in the traditional sense to ANY "organized community". Those endlessly have "community organizers" and the organized peons always end up getting the shaft. George Washington warned us about political factions - we should listen.

I'll contribute as I always have in another way. I'll call a spade a spade - which it certainly seems GOA is doing- I'll defend my right by exercising it in spite of permit commands and I will teach everyone I can the things that I have learned(hoping others reciprocate).

I'll comment on webpages about Slaugterhouse cases and the fact the "privilege" is a synonym for positive right - rather than government issued permission. I'll talk about the circle jerk that is fabricated Doctrine of selective incorporation. I'll argue with idiots on the net, even trolls, with the hope it makes readers THINK enough to seek out knowledge themselves. I'll talk about milk and poultry and beef and pork - making people hammer me - saying what the heck does that have to do with guns? Then I'll answer that snobbish foolishness with how those things DO matter.

I'll continue to explain that guns, arms, is the OBJECT while Liberty itself is the SUBJECT. And then explain the difference. The fight over arms is waaay deeper than guns and bullets. It's not about being armed with guns. It is about being empowered with inalienable created RIGHTS.

Until a "gun rights" organization enters that arena - leaving the community organizing arena- I won't join or send contributions. To be honest - id rather send money to Mike David and a few others. At least they offer real value that's not rhetoric for political cycle campaign consumption. They actually share true knowledge. The reloading article today and praxis in general being perfect examples. To me, that's more valuable than a Appleseed event. But hey, that's just me.
Could GOA be what it's billed to be and will it continue on the road it appears to be on? It might. But then the NRA "might" actually be a gun rights group someday too....
