More "Three Percenters" on the border. "Dangerous foolish children playing dangerous foolish games."

The LA Times now reports breathlessly in a belated and under-researched article: Militias patrolling Texas border draw scrutiny, concern.
The article refers to this: Photos Emerge Of 10 "Active Militia Teams" Securing The US-Mexico Border.
A few days ago I forwarded the above Zero Hedge article with photos to my friend Bob Wright. Bob, you may recall, is a guy who has been a leader in the constitutional militia movement for 20 years and and was operations officer for the Minutemen in 2005-2006. A resident of Lea County NM, Bob is intimately aware of the situation on the border. Bob reacted:
"Just the fact that these pictures were made and posted clearly displays the childish nature of those in the photos. They are dangerous assholes who will do nothing to secure the border and everything to help the invaders' cause while damaging our own. They are not Three Percenters in any way. They are dangerous foolish children playing dangerous foolish games."
This was one of the photos he was talking about:
If anonymity is required, then a balaclava is sufficient to the need, I would think. Painting oneself up as the boogeyman is certainly foolish and childish. It is also stupid from a purely optical point of view. It is eerily reminiscent of this image:
Helping the enemy make his propaganda points is the personification of "dangerous foolish children playing dangerous foolish games." On Tuesday I received this email from Maxwell Barna of VICE News, which read in part:
We've picked up on a story on a heightened presence at U.S.-Mexico borders between Texas and California, and we've heard that The Three Percenters are one of the militia groups associated with the current drive. I was hoping you might be able to give me a call to answer a few questions about the three percenters, the ideology behind it, your views on immigration reforms, and what you plan to do at the borders.
I'm not mounting a bull shit smear campaign against you and your organization -- I'm just trying to play a straight hand and tell this story for what it is. Any help you could give me would greatly be appreciated. As I am on a strict deadline for this story, a call at your earliest convenience would be greatly appreciated.
I responded to his email as follows:
The Three Percent movement is just that. It is a movement, an idea, it is not an organization or a militia, although there are obviously militia groups that embrace the philosophy. See "A Brief Three Percent Catechism -- A discipline not for the faint-hearted."
Responding to his line asking "what you plan to do at the borders," I wrote:
What I plan to do at the border is, at present, nothing. Indeed, the folks who are playing silly but dangerous games on the border represent a tiny fraction of the movement. See "Proposed cluster coitus on the border" and this from 7 July, "So-called 'Three Percenters' on the Border. 'This video is no longer available because the uploader has closed their YouTube account.'"
I added:
There are many folks who embrace the name of Three Percenters. Fewer of that number seem to have internalized what actually being a "three percenter" means. As I said, it is not an organization, it is a movement, so I cannot expel such folks, nor drum them out, nor court martial them from an organization that does not exist. I can counsel them on their philosophic error but have no way of making them listen. It seems that I have been successful at weaponizing an idea, but I have discovered that it is almost impossible to keep some folks from misunderstanding it.
Barna responded:
So, what you're saying is that the Three Percenter militia groups on the border are not at all affiliated with you, personally. And that this is a movement -- perhaps an ideology -- and not a single organization?
To which I replied, "Yes." He then asked:
Also, how then, do YOU feel, about the heightened presence of militias and other volunteers at the border? I understand that you feel that many of them misunderstand the message you've been trying to send, but could you perhaps highlight to me some of the ways in which your philosophy and rhetoric has been misinterpreted?
I responded:
Obviously you haven't had time to read the linked posts, so let me excerpt this from my first reaction:
"Is the proposed COA (course of action) consistent with the principles and mission statement of the organization or movement mission statement and principles? What is accomplished by a picket line of armed volunteers threatening to shoot unarmed, half-starved and thirsty children? I agree that the invasion is devilish in its conception, carried out by collectivists who could give a shit less about how many kids die along the way, but will the proposed COA do ANYTHING about it other than to help make the other side's propaganda points?. . . As for my advice to Three Percenters, based on what I know now, stay as far away from this incipient exercise in cluster coitus as you can."
Mr. Barna has not, to my knowledge, done anything with that interview nor with another that he had with Bob Wright.
If I may repeat my position. I do not view the "operations" along the border to date as anything but ill-thought, ill-considered, ill-planned and self-defeating. There was an interesting meeting held in Texas recently between a retired general officer of the US Army, a former commander of the Texas National Guard, and members of responsible Texas militia units, including Three Percenters and Oath Keepers. This meeting showed some promise of working out an operations plan that made sense to deal with the border crisis that proposed to integrate the armed citizenry with established Texas state defense forces. To date I have heard of no significant follow-up. When someone comes up with a sensible plan and COA I will support it. In the meantime, the threats of state and federal tyranny in Nevada, Colorado, New York and especially Connecticut are absorbing my entire attention. It is in one of those arenas that the immediate future will be determined, for good or ill.
And if I cannot convince you that the border situation is not the immediate threat that you have to worry about -- if you think I am, as some have called me, a "traitor" because I refuse to endorse a precipitate rush to the border -- then, okay, fine. But please, do us all a favor and lose the boogeyman face paint. Because Bob is correct, you do look like "dangerous foolish children playing dangerous foolish games."

Oh something was fine with that exchange - it hit the editing room floor because it's the opposite of the meme they aim to present. Going to the border as a Citizen action is fine. Indeed it's a duty. Going armed is, well, a right alongside that duty. The difference between three precenters and anarchists is simple.

Threepers will also go armed with cameras and use those "arms " to shoot, relegating the firearms to use only when the actual need to use them in defense arises.

A sad reality it is though that there DOES come a point when that defensive action of shooting is required. Any threeper who outright denies this is abandoning a key point.

We will not shoot FIRST. This cannot mean we will not shoot at all. Peace through strength only suffices when strength is respected and to be respected the strength has to be real.

I agree with you mike but we cannot be browbeaten into looking like docile paper tigers - for if that happens the core strength of this III percent idea is relegated to complete inaction and simply a figment of imagination (not unlike liberal land). True enough there is a fine line. I will reiterate the near perfection of the simple statement -
We don't shoot, we shoot back. We don't fight, we fight back. We don't attack, we defend.

I agree with your assessment of the situation, but recently read that the children are only about 15% of the total amount of illegals crossing the border. I think that we need to re-evaluate the situation if that's true. We also know that MS13 gangs and drug cartels are using the situation to also cross the border. Nevertheless, the real enemies to the Constitution are in Washington DC, but on the plus side they are convincing more and more people to join our side.

What we need now is some real leadership, and that's not going to come from the State governments. We need some effective strategic and tactical planning. I hope Bob is working on that, or this will spiral into an even worse cluster fuck with even more idiots running around the border with no direction and no discipline.

If these "militias" can be organized and trained, perhaps this is an opportunity to do that and we can turn this around to our advantage. We have all these wannabe soldiers gathering along the Texas border from across the country. If we could get them together that would be ideal for you to teach them what it is to be a real Threeper, and Bob could teach them to be a real militia. I think between you and Bob, you know enough people that could rotate in and out to provide the leadership and training these people need.

I know that may be a larger commitment that either of you can do at any given time, but this can be turned around to our advantage if you can get the right people there to do it.

What do you think?

I have recently been reading much of early US history and the origins of the Constituion, and Constitutional law and find that the philosophy of the "III Percenters" is closest to my own.

I salute you, Sir, and your strength and devotion, especially since I am behind enemy lines in NewYorkistan. When you are in CT, we will be there with you, and we won't be wearing "spook" masks.

The clowns with the masks "Patrolling the border" are indeed "...dangerous foolish children playing dangerous foolish games."

Unfortunately, these types "play stupid games, and win stupid prizes" - and this reflects on the more public figures of the freedom movement, such as yourself, who are rational and come to their conclusions in a well thought out way.

The "skull" masks make them look like SEAL wannabes at best, and psychotic clowns at the worst, NOT patriots.

God bless you, Sir, and keep you safe.

That right there confuses me. When the authority busts down my door to confiscate my means of self defense, am I suppose to wait until they fire the first shot?

How many of those masked marvels are feds themselves?

The decision by the Governor of Texas to deploy National Guard troops handles this better.

It's unfortunate that the other three states have not done the same.

The tipping point will not come until Shep smith makes another " production mistake" and shows live footage of a. "Authorized journalist " either being plunked in the dome or blown to bits by a homicide bomber. Note that Lara being sexually abused in Egypt wasn't enough.....

IMHO, those authorized journalist types will be targeted eventually (thinking if course they are almost totally immune now) and the UN establishments now being both used and targeted demonstrates that evil knows no boundary.

Mike, you are right. The kids are pawns. Pointing rifles at pawns is worse than pointless.

I'll be more impressed when these folks figure out the game, and reposition themselves on the border of the District of Columbia - the place where this problem originated. Not that I expect that to happen!

The way these things usually go, is that there are several government provocateurs among this group, and one of them has been given the task of shooting a few of these kids. And the rest of these fools are setting themselves up for this false flag.

Mike,

This post is the perfect example of why I read your writings with care and regularity. You provide not only ideological clarity, you infuse it with the indispensable quality of SOBER-MINDEDNESS.

Our friends with a penchant for clown paint and too little control over their passions risk becoming much more of a liability than an asset... and if and when it does hit the fan, they will likely be among the first casualties for nothing gained.

True "kids" under 16 are a small percentage of the invasion. I have to disagree with Mike on this one. Being in AZ, I am a little closer to ground zero. I have written our governor "GED" Jan Brewer (a lame duck republican) to follow in Rick Perry's footsteps and deploy the National Guard to the boarder. Until she does, the militia serves a purpose of a small visible and controversial deterrent to illegals attempting to cross the boarder.

All the talk, talk , talk by keyboard commandos has no deterrent effect on the tsunami of thousands of new welfare supported collectivist flooding the Southwest.

I agree with your comments but with one change: We are already at war today and the enemy is the collectivist/Marxist/progressive/liberal activists that surround us everywhere.

Interestingly (at least to me), this band of soulless depraved degenerates assign themselves their own moral high ground based solely on hubris hidden behind such words 'fairness' and 'equality'.

They also think that writing their doctrine on paper in the form of 'laws' and regulations permits them the freedom to force their putrid ideology upon the land as 'law' and thus make it irresistible. The most egregious examples of this I can think of is 'imminent domain' and indeed laws in CT making tens of thousand felons for not turning in their guns and magazines.

The current regime in the white house, congress and the courts have placed themselves and their unholy pursuit of their ideology above the law. We are surrounded by 'activist judges' who hold no regard for the rule of law, only the rule of political party. I respect the rule of law, the enemy do not.

It is therefore impossible to prevent the coming civil war. The enemy's hunger for power and domination cannot and will never be satiated. They will fire the first literal shots and those rounds may well indeed be fired in CT.

No more Waco's, no more Ruby Ridges, no more Katrina's.

I feel like it's the morning of April 19, '75 and I already know what the outcome is going to be.

This sounds like "Welfare for me, but not for thee." The problem is the program, not the people who (unsurprisingly) sign up for it. Maybe 1% of the human race is capable of refusing free shit when it is offered, but 100% of humanity is self-interested, and welfare is not good for anybody but the bureaucrats. Your enemy is not brown kids, but the ruling class.

Well, we'll see what happens when somebody shoots a couple of 10-year olds.

How does anyone know who these painted face clowns are.

It's not that hard to pretend.
