Making Cop-Worship Mandatory

However, there is a sacramental function being performed here, as well: When a police officer – a carnal emissary of the divine state, an accredited member of its punitive priesthood -- orders a citizen to prostrate himself, he is, quite literally, demanding worship.

... and do they really think that citizens treated in that manner will not hate them forever and take retribution should the chance arise?

I NEVER give respect to those who "demand" it, only to those who earn it.

That being said, cops like the gang mentality. Get them in a crowd and the "mob mentality" prevails. Get one of them alone some place, and he will crap his pants in fear, just as quick as anyone.

Chris Dorner, one man, put the fear of god into thousands of them, easily. They come to know fear when 4GW tactics are applied, hard!

I agree that cops have a gang mentality. Why else would it require as many as 4 patrol cars of cops to handle one traffic stop of a car with only the driver. Kinda makes me think that some cops are a little bit under trained and chicken shit. Also, I don't think any cop should be allowed to have a taser. If their training won't enable them to control one perpetrator without using a taser then the cops are definitely under trained or physically out of shape or both. I would much rather see a cop expertly use a billy club or night stick than a taser. A taser is just as deadly a weapon as a gun. That has been proven many times.

Thank you for linking to will grigg! Pretty much every blog entry of his is worthy of reporting! Stuff like this is exCy why the idiots who misquoted you at the New American fired him for speaking the truth about the police state.

He has great blog entries over at the lewrockwell.com/blog section, too.

I check will grigg's blog every day just as I check this one and codrea's. he is to the police state what you and Codrea are for the gun control effort by the same types

oh you too huh? And I thought it was just Glen Beck cherry picking cop stories but here you are running with hyperbole Mike. Kinda like all gun owners are bad, right?

The first entry has Grigg's columns from his blog, but the second features a lot of great short news stories and other entries not typically located on his own personal blog.

A couple of my favorite will grigg quotes from over the last few years:

"The only area in the 20th century where the government was more efficient than the private market was mass murder."

"The only things government 'makes' are corpses out of living human beings, and 'criminals' out of innocent people."
