Judge tosses out SAFE Act charge against Lockport man

Watson dismissed a misdemeanor charge against Wojdan, filed because the magazine of his 9 mm Ruger handgun contained 10 bullets, more than the limit of seven bullets per magazine under the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act.

"They did it for officer safety."

Reading the steps taken by these cops is enough to make a man want to puke. I prefer the good old days when highwaymen simply pointed a gun and said, "Your money or your life!" Cops justifying their depredations with "laws" and "officer safety" is an obscene joke. If they want to be safe, maybe they should stop bracing people.
