Score one for the "ankle-biters" in the Dragged Kicking and Screaming Department: "Did Gun Rights Examiner defeat confirmation of rabidly anti-gun Surgeon General?"

MSNBC weeps about “Gun McCarthyism.” -- "The NRA shoots down a qualified Obama nominee."
But Kurt Hoffman writes:
Still, if America's gun owners do end up being spared the rabidly anti-gun Vivek Murthy as Surgeon General, they might want to thank National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea. And anti-gun extremists like Mike "The Gun Guy" Weisser, who is so upset about the NRA's intention to score the vote, might owe him "despised by the despicable" honors.
I concur. Knowing of the back-and-forth behind the scenes, at least one former NRA board member familiar with the situation told me Sunday that Cox and LaPierre were "dragged kicking and screaming" into scoring this vote, "just like they were dragged into Fast and Furious." He added, "they hate you little people . . . they think you're all ankle-biters on the Internet . . . They hate anybody who makes them actually DO something for their money."
Good on David Codrea.
Again.

Of course the NRA dislikes the "little people", who should just send funds to that organization with the delusion that their rights are being vigorously defended.

If you are not "blue-chip" or "blue-ribbon", the NRA wants nothing to do with you individually or collectively.

After all, with sherry in one hand, and a good cigar in the other, the worthies are unable to even shake hands with their supposed constituents.

It truly seems now like any "victories" they achieve are entirely accidental.
