Dead Elephant party elites strike back at Tea Party congressman.

Donors plot against GOP rebel
Conservative groups are aware of the challenge to Amash, are pledging to match the business community “punch-for-punch” to defend one of their champions in Congress.
“He’s the gold standard of principled constitutionalism in Congress,” said Dean Clancy, the vice president of public policy at FreedomWorks.
“We have heard that the K-Street establishment wants to knock him off — and we intend to defend him punch-for-punch.”

Our goal in the 2014 elections should be to preserve the Republican majority in the House and to gain a Republican majority in the Senate. We MUST get out the vote for every Republican, NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF REPUBLICAN! If a candidate has an (R) by his/her name, we must get him elected. If we fail to do that, we are doomed to have a continuation of whatever the will of the present administration happens to be. The worst part of that may well be that we will still have to endure Harry Reid as the Majority Leader of the Senate!

Politics is a dirty business, and this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone:

A large contingent of Sipsey members seem to agree.....

After all, if you oppose the mainstream Republican party line, then you must be one of those damn libertarians.

How dare you? Thinking government should live within its budget.

Graybeard, just what did they do that was so useful to us from 1995-2007, when they controlled the House and at least tied in the Senate? (Senate was 50-50 between the 2000 and 2002 elections)

I have zero expectation that the GOP will do anything to preserve the Constitution. The best we can hope for is that they don't act as radically socialist as the Dems did between the 2008 and 2010 elections.

For one thing, if the Rs take over the Senate and win the Presidency in 2016, I expect the next Illegal Alien Incentive Package to pass easily. The only reason why the GOP weakly opposes it now is they don't want Obama to be the one to sign it into law.

These days voting for ANY Libertarian simply helps get a damned democrat elected. That's because Libertarians draw far more votes away from Republicans than from democrats. So, if you want the damned democrats to continue to rule, by all means vote for Libertarians.

We. Are. NOT! Voting. Our Way. Out. Of. This. Mess.

Period.

You can elect all the republicrats you want (actually, you can't) and it would't matter. They are big govt statists so similar to the demicans that the differences are insignificant.

The repugnicans are just there to provide distraction for those who still think their vote counts for something, and to keep them and their friends in on the gravy train.

When I was young (starting 7th grade) my parents were transferred to Southern Kentucky for my father's job. Dad complained about having to register as a Democrat since there was no such thing as a local Republican primary at that time. When I-65 came thru the area, the city of Glasgow, KY got bypassed by the new interstate and had NO DIRECT access to the Interstate. Travelers had to go thru either Cave City or Park City then take the back roads to get to Glasgow. Industry suffered and moved out of Glasgow because that was the home town of a Republican Governor and the Dems had the power to pick the route of the new interstate highway. (Payback for a Republican city)
Flash forward to when I finally went to the University of KY after my Military service. Interstate 75 was being built and similar crap was happening. The Southern exit for Lexington somehow managed to swing to the East to snag the Baesler Farm to become Exit 104. Baesler was the County Clerk and later one of the grandkids (Scotty) became a member of Congress. It is the powerful committee folks at the State House that chose where the new roads go and guess who profits from being able to own Interstate Exits. Power is money and Being In Power can make your friends very wealthy.
