Voting with their feet.

"Let's get outta this here 'socialist paradise,' Ma, while the gettin' is good."
The Reverse-Joads of California
But it is ironic that many of the intended beneficiaries of California's liberal government are running for the state line—and that progressive policies appear to be what's driving them away.

Since when did "Go WEST young man" become "Go LEFT young man" ???

The West coast has deteriorated into the Left coast!

That picture reminds me of my dad when he was 11yrs old. Original okie family with 6 kids, Model T pickup loaded with family and enough shit to start over. Went to Californi in '31 to find that land of noney. Made it to Corning Calif after 5 months. Struggled their entire life.
I left Cal 10 yrs ago after walking into local City Hall to register a complaint against local "Code Enforcement" team, only to be surrounded by cops WITH shotguns in lobby. Amongst hundreds of other incidents over 30 yrs. I'll never step foot in that stinking state again. State and Sacramento local Gov and LEO's out of control big time. Calif is the plumb bob of police state.

The commies fleeing California are taking the same progressive policies with them, that cause California to be a socialist shit hole. Indeed, there are so many leaving, they are changing the demographics of formerly conservative states. That is bad news!

Beware Red States, those fleeing Mexifornia, NY, and other Blue States bring that liberal virus with them wherever they go.

Glad I got out while the gettin' was good - in 1984. Been watching my family hang on in spite of the disastrous economic failures of cities and counties ever since. Swift is right about the bailouts bringing their socialist crap with them. Phoenix is a prime example. At least most of the legislature will be able to resist the attempts by Dems to disarm THIS state, as well. For a few years at least (long enough for the civil war to start before that happens). I miss the beauty of the coast, but prefer the desert and mountains to the faux society that's ruined my original home.
