"Doesn't the New York Times care about dead Mexicans? "

Finally, The Cognoscenti Ask: What Could We Be Thinking? by Mark Steyn.

But sometimes Obama cronyism is murderous: Eric Holder, a man unfit to be attorney general of the United States, continues to stonewall the "Fast and Furious" investigation into taxpayer-funded government gun-running to Mexican drug cartels.

It is alleged that the administration chose to facilitate the sale of American weapons to crime kingpins south of the border in order to support a case for gun control north of the border. Evidence keeps piling up:

The other day, a letter emerged from ATF supervisor David Voth authorizing Special Agent John Dodson to buy Draco pistols to sell directly to known criminals. Over 200 Mexicans are believed to have been killed by "Fast and Furious" weapons — that is to say, they were killed by a U.S. government program.

Doesn't the New York Times care about dead Mexicans? Doesn't Newsweek or CBS News? Isn't Obamaism with a body-count sufficiently eye-catching even for the U.S. press? Or, three years in, are the enablers of Obama still so cynical that they accept it as a necessary price to pay for "change you can believe in"? You can't make a hopenchange omelette without breaking a couple hundred Mexican eggs?

Obama says America has "gotten a little soft." But there's nothing soft about a dead-parrot economy, a flat-line jobs market, regulatory sclerosis, "green jobs" multibillion-dollar squandering and a mountain of dead Mexicans. In a soft nation, "centrist" government is hard and cruel. Only the coverage is soft-focus.

Dude couldn't sit on a small town school board and be effective. How this nation ever voted this idiot into office will rank among the greatest mysteries of our time...like how the pyramids were made. They will probably start cranking up the big nasty stuff around primary time.

@Frankenstein: No mystery. Millions of voters saw someone that looked like them and they went for it.Millions of voters who didn't look like him,but could make themselves feel good and just by voting for him went for it.Who cares that he's a marxist? Who cares that he is everything anti-American? The best bumper sticker I saw after the election-"Now that you elected Obama, go back to not having a clue."

Oh, Please! There is no freaking mystery! There is a class of people who live off of the federal treasury. There is another class of people who become and stay powerful by appealing for the votes of the former by enabling the former's life style. These two classes allied to vote one of their own into the White House. Where do you see a mystery?

BTW.... there was a similar dynamic in play that led directly to the fall of the Roman Republic. You have heard the phrase "Bread and Circuses"?

Dictators/the left/commies/etc, (I'm repeating myself), in their quest for destruction of everything anathema to tyranny, in order to obtain absolute power, care not how many bodies it leaves in its wake.
obama and his ilk are no different, they just happen to have the fig leaf of the legacy media covering for them long enough to cross the threshold into full blown tyranny.
This simple truth about body counts as a direct result of the tactics and strategies of such evil people and their agenda says everything one needs to know about the reality of how bad these people are, how little they care about anyone but themselves, and the lengths they are prepared to travel to attain their goals.

The very fact they occupy such a wide ranging scope of instrumental offices of power throughout government is nothing less than a slow creeping coupe from the inside out. It is like a body terminally riddled with cancer, a body politics where the rule of law and more importantly the principles there of, like the immune system becoming overwhelmed, is all but dead.
This has been the plan for a century. Kill America from the inside out.
Gunwalker is not the problem, it is a symptom of how the system of republican form of government, has been corrupted in its entirety.

The only remedy remaining, and the only remedy that has any teeth in it, is how far a small percentage of we of the people are willing to go, to quite simply go after these evil people with everything we have in us?

2012 will tell the tale. Whether we make to that date is itself a serious question. If we do, the outcome will answer many questions.

One way or another we are all like the pig, committed.
Every darn one of us.
No one is going to be left out of this party.
We all have skin in this game.
The question you got to be asking yourself, do I get ready living Liberty? Or, do I get dying a slow sure death by the hand of tyranny.
The last is a sure thing if you choose it.
The first has everything going for it.

Good to see other writers being direct about the whole premise behind OpFF.
