Paul Helmke explains the strategic vision behind the Gunwalker Scandal.

Bye, bye, Paulie. It's been fun.

"Gun control not futile, departing Helmke insists."

The former three-term mayor of Fort Wayne has pressed for more-extensive background checks on gun buyers, banning the sale of assault weapons and ammo clips that hold more than 10 bullets, and limiting the number of firearms a person can buy at one time. He was critical of Starbucks for allowing customers to openly carry guns in the company’s California stores.

“Polls show the American people support the specific things I talk about,” Helmke said. “So it’s not an issue of trying to change the hearts and minds of the American people, it’s an issue of getting enough of them upset and pushing their elected officials and making their electeds realize this is something they should be dealing with.

Well, thank you, Paulie for explaining the strategic vision behind the Gunwalker Scandal. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Assuming this is true, what does the inability to translate this sentiment into additional legislative restrictions say about Helmke's organizational skills?

It's too bad the boob is stepping down from his post. I much prefer struggling against incompetent asses than having to fight a political operative who is really good at what he does.

He's probably "retiring" just like your buddy Waco Jim did. Meaning he will continue to take potshots from the sidelines.

We should hope and pray that Helmke and his Ilk continue to use the same failed intel methods. Educating to the truth serves us no good purpose. Sorta like having a educated rattlesnake. It may be smart, it may have the truth, but its still a rattlesnake.

"Get people upset and push their elected officials." As accurate a definition of Gunwalker as I've ever read. Refreshing to find a leftist actually willing to admit it...so to speak.

Paulie is a pathological liar or misinformed on his stats. the Brady Buffoons will surely get another liar just as deft at elocution.

Whoever hires Paulie will get a liar and will know it.

No more Mr. Niceguy on all these anti-Constitutional clods.

I would even consider putting together a fund to send them packing completely out of this country or send them straight back to hell.

On to the next operation...

As they used to say on the old "Perry Mason" show: "Irrelevant and Immaterial".

I sincerely doubt it to be true, but even if his polls were correct, the only polls that matter are the ones we visit on election day. If his alleged anti-2A majority never shows up to vote, who gives a rodent's posterior what they think?
