The Hill: "Subpoenas are coming." "Sources said the interviews produced a plethora of new evidence . . . regarding who gave the ultimate go-ahead."

The Hill, read by every Congresscritter and DC minion, heralds the coming of the Gunwalker Scandal to the gates of Mordor.

The move by Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, comes on the tail end of a series of interviews with government officials and witnesses that the panel’s investigators conducted last month. Sources said the interviews produced a plethora of new evidence and information regarding who gave the ultimate go-ahead for ATF’s “Fast and Furious” operation.

Made a comment that it appears that the entire fedgov is holding up extended middle fingers to all of us peons. Don't suppose it will have any effect but I needed to vent since I was there. Do you think they know what that means, or should I go back with crayons and draw pictures? Hold up a mirror maybe?

Who is the voting public going to believe--witnesses interviewed under oath or Holder's protestations of innocence?

How will it look for a Nobel Peace Prize recipient to be exposed as the author of a program that led to the death of hundreds of Mexican nationals and at least two US government agents?

What will Congress's reponse be to a rogue agency that deliberately schemed to violate the very laws it is established to enforce?

Let ther siege of Mordor begin! :^)

The ultimate go-ahead (perhaps a trusting "you know what to do") is from The Executive. Loyal underlings like Mr. Holder understand from a lifetime of service to the power of government that incremental progress against the enumerated rights of Citizens and Residents of the American Nation can be advanced directly, by flanking, or by traitors in the rear.

A "Grand Restriction" of Citizens right to own and possess useful and effective weaponry; in the spirit of the
1934 NFA,
1968 GCA,
1986 FOPA,
Import of effective firearms ban of 1991,
1994 inexpensive ammunition import ban,
1994 Crime Control Act,

leading to a UK-style elimination of legal weapons/ammunition in the hands of lawful civilians must be assumed to be the objective of the current Administration. Mr. Obama has stated that it is a major political objective. Mr. Holder has several times stated that this is a policy objective.

The objective appears to me to be found "in the air we breathe". In newspaper/magazine reporting, in broadcasts, in Hollywood cinema, in gov't-sponsored "Public Service Announcements", the message is clearly that passive response to aggression is the best or only response. If police (or men who shout "POLICE" for 15 seconds before breaking in) are at your door at 3:45AM, comply. If a purse-snatcher grabs your bag, let him go "it's only replaceable things". If the County wants to take your farm to build a shopping mall on to increase tax revenue (and reward local politically-connected construction companies), it's for "the greater good" that Eminent Domain be applied. If Muslim men 18-45 years old with box cutters hijack your aircraft... strip-search all air travelers except Muslims who object as a group.

The light of day is what the criminals fear most. Shine on, Mike.

Cheers.
